Akash Mishra becomes the first Indian to feature in EA Sports FIFA’s Team Of The Week squad

Indian left-back Akash Mishra plays for the Indian Super League side Hyderabad FC. Akash became the first Indian to be included in EA Sports FIFA’s Team Of The Week squad.

EA Sports releases the Team Of The Week (TOTW) every Wednesday, selecting players by their performances in that week. FIFA 22’s TOTW 20 is the first one to feature an Indian football player in its 23-man squad.

Akash Mishra scored one goal in Hyderabad’s 5-0 win against NorthEast United on Tuesday. He was also on the scoresheet when Hyderabad FC came from behind to beat Odisha by 3-2 and helped his club to be at the top of the ISL table.

Akash Mishra has scored two goals and provided three assists in 14 appearances so far this season. He has been a constant threat in the left wing for Hyderabad FC.

The 20-year-old becomes the second player from ISL to feature in TOTW. ATK Mohun Bagan’s Hugo Boumous is the first player from ISL to be featured in FIFA’s TOTW squad. The French midfielder was included in the FIFA 22’s 15th Team Of The Week squad.

Akash Mishra has a 57 rated common bronze card in FIFA 22. He has been given a 67 rated Silver Team Of The Week card in TOTW 20. In the above picture, you can see the boost he has received on his FUT 22 TOTW card in comparison to his base card.
