TECNO POP 5 Pro entry-level smartphone launched in India

Transsion Holdings brand TECNO launched the TECNO POP 5 Pro in India as its latest budget device. The phone is priced at 8,499 INR and the star of the show is its 6,000mAh battery.

The POP 5 Pro comes with a 6.52″ display with an HD+ resolution, a pixel density of 269ppi, and a maximum brightness of 480 nits. The device has a touch sampling rate of 120Hz and the panel has a waterdrop notch for the selfie shooter.

The frame of the phone is made of plastic, the back is also made of the same material. The device has a screen-to-body ratio of 90%.

TECNO has not yet revealed which processor the phone will be powered by but we know that it will have 3GB RAM along with 32GB storage expandable to 256GB via an SD card.

The TECNO POP 5 Pro comes with an 8MP primary sensor and a secondary AI lens. The camera app offers AI portrait mode, HDR mode, and it also supports filters. It has a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens and front-facing flash.

The TECNO POP 5 Pro has a stellar 6,000mAh battery that is estimated to offer 54 hours of talk time or 120 hours of music playback. There are also multiple software optimizations onboard such as a Battery Lab feature and a dedicated Ultra Power Saving mode.

The TECNO POP 5 Pro carries support for 15 regional languages and it has an IPX2 rating for splash resistance. It boots Android 11 Go Edition along with HiOS skin on top.

The TECNO POP 5 Pro is available in a single 3GB RAM+32GB variant priced at 8,499 INR.
