ASUS onboards Simar 'Psy' Sethi as the official coach for ROG Academy Season 4

The three-month boot camp of ASUS ROG Academy Season 4 commenced with the final 6 shortlisted players today

New Delhi, January 20, 2022 – ASUS, the world’s No.1 gaming laptop brand, today announced Simar ‘Psy’ Sethi, the leading Indian esports player, as the official coach of ROG Academy Season 4. Simar is one of the best CS:GO and Valorant esports players in India and has represented India in many International tournaments. Simar’s experience and expertise in Valorant perfectly weaves into the curriculum of ROG Academy Season 4 that involves Valorant as its official title. ASUS ROG Academy Season 4 with 6 selected players has started today. The registration for the season opened in December 2021 and received an overwhelming response with over 1800 applications.

An excited Simar ‘Psy’ Sethi on his onboarding said, “Happy to be a part of the ROG Academy and can’t wait to get started with the new crop of players. Psy’s zeal and dedication towards esports have awarded him as one of the nation’s most prominent figures in the esports industry. He commenced his journey in the field of e-sports in 2013 with CS:GO. After a period of intense grinding and training, in 2015, Simar started his professional career and has dominated the circuit ever since. He has had a chance to represent various professional organizations including Entity Gaming and Team Brutality. Simar has won several ESL India Premierships, numerous MVP awards and was even recognized as Best Player of India in 2016.

As Valorant swiftly became one of the top games in various tournaments in India, Simar took this new opportunity head-on and spent time to develop expertise in the game. The title offers new challenges, maps, opportunities, and fresh updates regularly, empowering gamers to dig deeper and further strengthen and hone their skills.
