Developers promises content and updates for the next five year for Dying Light 2

If 500 hours of Dying Light 2 isn’t enough for you, don’t worry: there’s plenty more where that came from. Following the release of Dying Light 2: Stay Human on February 4, Techland Games, the studio behind the Dying Light series, has stated that they are “dedicated” to five years of game support.

Sheri Kryeziu, Techland Games’ influencer lead, announced through Twitter this morning. Fans can expect “More Story DLCs, More Events, More Locations,” and “More in-game goods” in Dying Light 2 during the next five years, according to Kryeziu. He went on to say that one of the key reasons he joined the studio was to keep the game fresh and to put “gamers first.”

This bold announcement comes after Techland Games’ surprising announcement that Dying Light 2 will take “at least 500 hours” to complete, a figure that shocked the gaming community when it was shared on Twitter on January 8. Techland has recently clarified its comment, stating that “500 hours” refers to “maxing out the game,” which includes “completing all quests, endings, and exploring every section of the globe.” The studio then noted that a “normal player” should be able to complete the story, side missions, and a significant amount of exploration in under 100 hours.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is the sequel to 2015’s Dying Light, and it takes place in a post-apocalyptic environment where players must outmaneuver the living dead to stay alive. Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4th for the PS5, Xbox One X|S, and Nintendo Switch over the cloud. The game will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
