Daniel Chima has accepted to join Jamshedpur FC for the rest of the Indian Super League season on all terms. For the Red Miners, he succeeds Nerijus Valskis, who moved for Chennaiyin FC a week ago.

About the Nigerian Footballer

Chima began his football career with Festac Sport before joining Bussdor United on loan. He joined Lyn in the Norwegian First Division at the start of the 2010 season, scoring his first goal against Bod/Glimt on April 5, 2010.

Legia Warsaw, a Polish club, signed him to a contract. Before returning to Molde, he appeared in nine games for the club. He signed a contract with Molde FK for an undisclosed amount on February 14, 2018. During the 2018 season, he scored six goals in 17 games. Signing Daniel Chima

Chima joined SC East Bengal for the 2021/22 season, making 11 appearances for the Red and Gold and scoring two goals. In a frantic 6-4 loss to Odisha FC, the Nigerian scored both of his goals. The striker was released by the club in January for personal reasons.

Despite being rusty and slow, Chima has consistently demonstrated his strength and quickness for SC East Bengal. He’ll be hoping to reclaim his goalscoring form under Owen Coyle, as he’ll be well served by Greg Stewart, one of the league’s best performers this season. To avoid any COVID-19 worries, Jamshedpur has decided to sign foreigners from within the bubble, as have some other clubs.
