Google has acquired Siemplify to strengthen Cloud Security

Post the global pandemic, the revenue of all the cloud service providers has increased a sizable percentage, including Google, due to the WFH approach. For google only, the amount is around $5 billion last year. So, the company must look into the security part as well. Aiming the same Google has acquired Siemplify, a cybersecurity startup based in Israel.

Though there is no official announcement about financial figures, sources linked with this matter said Reuters that the amount is $500 million.

For additional information let you know this investment is also a part of the $10 billion investment promise over the next five years on cybersecurity.


The vice president of Google Cloud Security, Sunil Potti, said, “Siemplify is an intuitive workbench that enables security teams to both manage risk better and reduce the cost of addressing threats,” He further added, “Siemplify allows Security Operation Center analysts to manage their operations from end-to-end, respond to cyber threats with speed and precision, and get smarter with every analyst interaction.”

Siemplify kickstarted its journey in 2015 and raised $58 million of funding from investors like G20 Ventures and 83North. It came to the notice of Google when the startup was looking for more investment.

Anyways, Siemplify will work with Google in the coming days and obviously, all the consumers can expect enhanced cybersecurity.
