The Indian team were at 16/1 and is leading the match by 146 runs over South Africa at the stumps on Day 3 of the first Test. The match is held at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

The visitors are completely dominating the match though Mayank Agarwal, the opener got dismissed initially in the second innings. Marco Jensen is the only wicket-taker for South Africa in the innings (when India was batting). India bowled out South Africa for 197 runs to take a 130-run first-innings lead.

Mohammad Shami had an amazing day, as he took 5 wickets. He completed his 200 wickets in Test cricket. Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur had got two wickets and Mohammad Shami got just one. Temba Bavuma is the top scorer for the South African team making 52 runs. Lungi Ngidi had dismissed six Indian players and India had lost almost every hope on day 3 of the first Test. India lost 7 wickets making 55 runs on Tuesday and finished their batting innings for 327 runs.

  • Sixth five-fer for Mohammed Shami in Tests; only the second in the first innings, the previous being 5/112 vs Aus at the SCG in Jan 2015.
  • India 16/1 after 6 overs in the second innings.
  • Jansen strikes with first ball, dismisses Agarwal 
  • INDIA is at 12/0 after 5 overs, leading the game
  • KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal will start the Indian second innings.
