Harbhajan Singh announces his retirement from cricket ahead of IPL 2022

Indian spin baller Harbhajan Singh has announced his retirements from every form of cricket on 25th December. His career had a span of 24 years (1997-2021). It included 103 Test matches, 236 ODI matches, 28 T20I matches and 163 IPL matches. He will most probably be the coach in IPL 2022.

He further stated “All good things come to an end and today as I bid adieu to the game that has given me everything in life, I would like to thank everyone who made this 23-year-long journey beautiful and memorable. My heartfelt thank you, Gratitude. Cricket has been the biggest thing that happened to me, would like to serve Indian cricket in whatever way I can. Whether it’s coaching or mentor, I’d be more than happy to do the needful and help the team,

He will be bringing his experience as a coach with a new franchise in IPL 2022. He is also among the few cricketers to have 150 wickets in IPL at an economy rate of 7.07. The bowler finally played for a number of IPL franchises in IPL like Mumbai, CSK and KKR during his tenure. He has a lead in Mumbai Indians (MI) in 20 games and had a victory in 10 matches. He earned Rs. 58.14 crore in the Indian Premier League.
