Peter Federico could be Real Madrid’s next big youngster

Peter Federico made his debut for Real Madrid in their 2-1 win against Athletic Club Bilbao. The youngster came on as a substitute for Eden Hazard in the 86th minute, and made an impressive cameo.

The La Fabrica graduate caught the eye of a number of fans, and seems to have a bright future ahead of him. In the brief appearance he made, he could have scored his first goal for the club as well, after being played through on goal. However, he was denied by Athletic Club keeper Julen Agirrezabala.

Who is Peter Federico?

The 19-year-old primarily features for Real Madrid’s youth team, Castilla. He has been one of Raul’s most trusted players, and has scored & assisted four across all competitions.

Carlo Ancelotti didn’t hesitate to send the youngster out on his debut, after his displays in the Spanish third division. The teenager was born in Madrid but is of the Dominican Republic.

Peter Federico is left-footed and is yet to find his ideal position. He can play in a variety of positions such as left-wing, left-back and right-wing. The youngster has shown a lot of promise when playing from the right, and could end up being an attacking option.

He also has the defensive capability to slot in when defending and can play in systems with a back five as well.

Following his impressive debut cameo, we might see Peter Federico become a more regular first team member in the weeks and months to come.
