AMD launches world's first overclockable Ryzen 5000HX mobile processors

What launches we could expect?

The CES 2022 keynote will be a major one for AMD as it will just after Intel’s major launch of 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs and AMD will be coming up with its own answer in the form of 3D V-Cache chiplet based modified Ryzen 5000 processors. This can be confirmed because it has already announced the Milan-X chips for servers that use the same technology.

Previously demoed at Computex 2021, the new 3D V-Cache chip stacking technology developed with TSMC, AMD could increase gaming performance on an average of 15% on the Ryzen 9 5900X. So, you will expect AMD to launch a whole bunch of new processors at the keynote with this new tech in hand.

Also, AMD will continue the breakthrough momentum it started with CES 2020 when it launched the 7nm based Ryzen 4000U mobile APUs that completely shook the industry. With AMD Ryzen 5000H or U based mobile APUs in 2021, it nearly dominated the whole market until Intel announced 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H processors.

So, as Intel will also be introducing multiple new budget desktop 12th Gen SKUs and new Alder Lake-P processors, AMD will indeed announce their Rembrandt APUs, i.e. Ryzen 6000 processors based on the 6nm process. This will mark AMD’s first APUs to feature their breakthrough RDNA2 GPU architecture as iGPUs on next-gen laptops.

Also, we expect new announcements coming for new RDNA2 based GPUs and their newly co-developed Wi-Fi 6E based network adapters in action. Also, AMD could finally give insights about their upcoming Ryzen 7000 based processors based on the 5nm process in the latter half of 2022.

Overall, there are many announcements from AMD that we are excited about, don’t forget to tune in on January 4; we will also be a reminder article just before the keynote so that you won’t forget.
