Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series press renders leaked, features an upgraded design

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S series of tablets is one of the most sold tabs in the Android world, hence it comes as no surprise that there is so much hype surrounding the release of the device.

Its next iteration will be the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup that will officially come out in the first half of 2022. We have already come across multiple leaks in the recent past, but they have all featured unofficial renders.

Now, courtesy of renowned tipster Evan Blass, we have official press renders for the first time.

These renders go very much in line with the unofficial renders that were released earlier and further verify that the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s display notch will be packing two high-end cameras. One of them will have an ultrawide lens that can shoot 4K videos at 60fps, a major bump over the single 8MP camera capable of shooting 1080 videos at 30fps on the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+.

The inclusion of a notch also means that the tablet gets fairly narrow bezels for a better viewing experience.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+, on the other hand, will feature more traditional designs with thicker bezels without any notches. The selfie camera appears to be a single unit on both of them and it has been integrated into the bezel on the lengthier edge.

Apart from this, the renders do not reveal anything else about the upcoming tablets as they only show their design from the front.

There is so much still in the dark with respect to the device, the Galaxy Tab S8, for instance, is said to feature an 11″ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. It is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with 8GB RAM+128GB storage.

On the other hand, the top version, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will obviously be more premium and is expected to have a 14.6″ AMOLED display that may offer 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate as well.

Depending on the market, the tab may come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 chip. The odds of the tab having an 11,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging seem very high.

That’s it, folks! That is all we know about the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
