Xavi wants four signings when he comes to Barcelona

Xavi is set to be announced as the new Barcelona manager soon. According to El Nacional, the 41-year-old has already drawn up a transfer shortlist. He wants Joan Laporta to make four key signings once he arrives as the new manager of the club.

Paul Pogba

The Manchester United midfielder is in his last few months under contract. He will be able to walk out as a free agent next summer. Barcelona have a great relationship with his agent, Mino Raiola, and could convince him to join them. The player has stated he wants to play for Real Madrid in the past. But, Xavi wants to have the France international in his team soon.

Erling Haaland

Another Mino Raiola client, Haaland has a €75 million release clause that becomes valid from next summer. However, the money will have to be paid in one installment. Xavi has his eyes on Borussia Dortmund’s biggest star, even though it might be very difficult to sign him financially.

Dani Olmo

Dani Olmo is a La Masia graduate, just like Xavi. He has made a name for himself at RB Leipzig, and was close to returning to Barcelona this summer. However, the move ultimately fell through. He is on Xavi’s list and could end up at the Camp Nou once again, very soon.

Jules Kounde

The Sevilla centre-back has been linked with a host of top European clubs. He was close to joining Chelsea this summer, but Sevilla rejected the bid. Now, Xavi wants Joan Laporta to sign the talented young defender for Barcelona. His arrival could seriously improve the team’s current defensive situation.
