We got the Samsung Galaxy S21 series flagships at the beginning of this year. The camera module is capable enough; techies didn’t hesitate to compare with iPhone 12 series camera. Now, probably will be compared with the new Google Pixel 6 series cameras as well. Meanwhile, the camera details of the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra pops up on the internet. All credit goes to leaker Ice universe.
As per the leak, there will be a quad-camera module as usual, including a 108mp sensor that will sit as the primary one. It will have 0.8um pixels and an f/1.8 aperture. It’s an upgrade over the ISOCELL HM3 from the existing Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Further, Samsung will add 12mp ultrawide and two 10mp sensors with 3X and 10X zoom, respectively (for 10mp sensors only). The ultrawide sensor comes from Sony with 0.6X zoom, 1.4um pixels, and f/2.2 aperture.
Both the 10mp sensors will have 1.12um pixels, but the hardware with 10X zoom will have f/4.9 aperture, whereas the other will have f/2.4 aperture.
If this leak becomes a reality, hardware-wise, there may not be a massive upgrade over the S21 Ultra. But from the trust in Samsung, we can assure the company will work on the software part and image processing mainly. Let’s see what we get in the coming days.
