Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro flagship smartphones will not be launching in India:

Just recently, Google officially launched its latest flagship smartphones, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Both the smartphones are now up for pre-orders in eight countries globally and shipping begins from the 28th of October.

However, as expected, India is again not to be found in the list of countries where the Pixel 6 Series smartphones will retail.

A new leaked ad shows some details about the upcoming Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

It has now been confirmed that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not be getting launched in India, at least not for the foreseeable future.

Google is attributing the non-availability of its flagship devices from the Indian market to a ‘variety of factors’ including global supply chain issues.

In a statement, Google’s spokesperson said: “Due to a variety of factors including global demand-supply issues, we are not able to make our products available in all markets. We remain committed to our current Pixel phones and look forward to bringing future Pixel devices to more countries in the future.”

Another factor is that Google may have considered when deciding not to launch flagships in India is the pricing, the majority of the Indian smartphone market is for devices that retail under $300 or 22,440 INR.

The Chinese makers dominate the Indian smartphone market.
