Leicester City 4-2 Manchester United: Foxes end unbeaten away run for United

Leicester City ended Manchester United’s streak of 29 unbeaten away games with a 4-2 win at the King Power Stadium. It was a dramatic game from start to finish, and Leicester played exceptionally well to hold the fort and get all three points off of the visitors.

Having recently turned 20 years old, Mason Greenwood opened the scoring with a thunderous strike from outside the box to give the visitors the lead.

Twelve minutes later, Manchester United conceded from a free-kick situation. David De Gea received and then played the ball to Harry Maguire, who was caught out by Khelechi Iheanacho. The striker passed to Your Tielemans at the edge of the box, who chipped an outrageous ball over David De Gea and into the side netting.

Tielemans could’ve had two to his name, but was denied by David De Gea the second time, as the ball ricocheted off the post following a great chance. Caglar Soyuncu started another dramatic sequence by tapping the ball into the net with twelve minutes left.

Marcus Rashford then capped off his return to football with a smashing finish to beat Kasper Schmeichel following some brilliant movement to beat the offside trap. But, fifteen seconds after the restart, Jamie Vardy launched a volley to beat De Gea and give Leicester the lead once more.

Leicester then killed the game off in the final few minutes after Patson Daka tapped in from very close range to score his first goal for the Foxes and seal all three points for the home team.
