Today let’s talk about Xbox One. Yes, the console is not something that comes to mouth these days considering how we already have the Xbox Series X|S with us, but most Xbox games still release on Xbox One as well as Xbox Series X.
Even some of the biggest titles such as the upcoming Halo Infinite will appear on Xbox One when it releases on December 8. so, it’s a good time to look back on the experiences that defined the Xbox One’s remarkable run and take a look at some of the best games available for the console.
Control
the game from Remedy Entertainment provides us with exciting action gameplay feeding into a rich story full of twists and turns. We play as Jesse Faden, the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control, and the game leads us through some of the most stylish action sequences and puzzles we’ve seen in a AAA game.
Cuphead
this game is a pure delight and one of the rare sorts of games that feels timeless. The game even though has been moved to other platforms, was initially only available on Xbox One and PC. The game’s action gameplay has a beautiful simplicity to it and the characters resemble 1930s-style cartoons which are hand-drawn and animations of the game have remarkable attention to detail.
Devil May Cry 5
This game by CAPCOM brings a ton of new stuff to the table and manages to feel incredibly fresh and nostalgic in the same breath. Devil May Cry 5 constantly thrusts its players in the centre of the action, making it constantly exciting. With three playable characters (and a fourth via paid DLC), the game offers a lot of variety when it comes to combat.
Dishonoured 2
While the first Dishonored game was good, the sequel is exquisite and brings a wide range of abilities that give you even more ways to approach the intricately designed missions. The game gives you the option to either sneak your way through the entire game–not killing anyone- or to simply kill everything that breaths insight. The gameplay is terrific which makes it one of the best action and stealth games on Xbox One.
Divinity: Original Sin 2
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is not just one of the best tactical RPGs on Xbox One and simply one of the best games made in its genre. The game is Set in the rich fantasy world of Rivellon and can be played solo or cooperatively with up to three other players. The game is bolstered by its in-depth character customization and an upgrade system that gives you immense control over the experience.
Monster Hunter World
Before the arrival of Monster Hunter World, Capcom’s action-RPG series wasn’t as popular outside of Japan, but it has finally received the widespread recognition and audience it deserved.
The world has a wonderful range of customization features and 14 weapons that play drastically differently, giving hunters room to experiment with playstyles. And the most amazing part of the game is the monsters, who have dynamic behaviour systems that keep hunts interesting.
Rainbow Six Siege
This game is simply one of the best multiplayer first-person shooters ever made, and it’s arguably the very best tactical shooter on consoles. It has more than 50 unique operators, 20 maps, and a lively player base, though having a relatively steep learning curve, the game is one heck of a catch.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
This is my favourite game and the game when launched set new heights for the open-world RPGs back in 2015. though the game has now become old it remains the go-to choice for gamers, and the game created an engrossing fantasy adventure balancing the story with gameplay for a wholly enjoyable experience.
