List of upcoming Smartphones launching in October 2021

A lot of new smartphones are expected to launch in October 2021, that too from brands like OnePlus, Motorola, Google, and Asus. Here are all the smartphones which might launch in October 2021.

Realme GT Neo 2

The successor to the Realme GT Neo, the GT Neo 2 was unveiled a few weeks back in China and Realem’s CEO has confirmed that the phone will launch in India soon. The Realme GT Neo was launched as Realme X7 Max in India and now that the company is done with the X series, we expect the GT Neo 2 without any change in the moniker.

The Realme GT Neo 2 comes with a 6.62-inch E4 AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1300 units of peak brightness. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 870 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of optics, the Realme GT Neo 2 features a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera as well. The phone is backed by a big 5,000mAh battery with a 65W fast charging solution.

Asus 8Z

After being pushed back by at least four months in India now, the Asus 8Z is finally expected to launch in India in the month of October. The Asus 8Z will be a compact Android flagship smartphone with a smaller screen, but flagship-grade specs.

The Asus 8Z comes with a 5.9-inch Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED display and sports a 64MP + 12MP dual rear camera and a 12MP selfie shooter. The device is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

OnePlus 9RT

OnePlus 9RT is expected to launch soon. The upcoming phone is likely to launch by the middle of the month. The upcoming OnePlus 9RT is speculated to sport a 6.55-inch Samsung E3 full-HD+ Super AMOLED display and come with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

of now, the internal chipset isn’t confirmed but we can expect a mid-range SoC. It is expected to have a 16MP single camera system at the front and a 50MP quad-camera setup. OnePlus 9RT is said to pack a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support.

Google Pixel 6

The Pixel 6 is rumored to go official on October 19 alongside the Pixel 6 Pro model. Starting off with the Pixel 6, the cheaper model is tipped to sport a 6.4-inch 90 Hz straight AMOLED display. That looks to be a FHD+ display as well. At its rear will be two cameras—a 50 MP ISOCELLL GN1 main shooter and a 12 MP IMX386 behind an ultra-wide-angle lens. At the front of the phone will be an 8 MP selfie camera. Battery capacity is pegged at 4140 mAh, RAM at a max of 8 GB, and storage at a max of 256 GB.

The Pixel 6 Pro is tipped to sport a 6.71-inch 120 Hz curved AMOLED display, with a QHD+ resolution. At its rear will be three cameras—a 48 MP 4x zoom camera joining the 50 MP and 12 MP sensors on the vanilla Pixel 6. A 5000 mAh battery is expected, with memory and storage topping out at 12 GB and 512 GB respectively.

Tecno Camon 18

The much-awaited Tecno Camon 18 series is likely to launch soon, but key specifications of the upcoming lineup have already been revealed. According to a report, the Tecno Camon 18 will pack a powerful MediaTek Helio G96 SoC under the hood.

Aside from that, the Tecno Camon 18 Series could come running Android 11 OS out-of-the-box with HiOS 7.6 on top. The phones are also expected to have the impressive zooming capability. It will feature a 60x Zoom backed by AI TAIVOS technology.

Honor 50

Honor has revealed its latest range of smartphones, with the Honor 50 series already out in China, with a global launch confirmed to be on the way too. Honor confirmed before launch that the Honor 50 uses a new chipset, the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. Importantly, it also includes 5G support.

The 50 also boasts a 6.57inch curved OLED display that supports a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate – excellent for gaming. There’s a single 32Mp selfie camera on the 50, but a quad rear camera setup: a 108Mp main lens joined by an 8Mp ultrawide, along with 2Mp depth and macro lenses.

Moto G31

The Moto G31 launch is expected to happen soon. The company has not yet announced the official launch details of the G-series smartphone. Meanwhile, device with the model number XT2173-2, has been spotted on the NCC certification website, revealing its design and other details.

On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup. It will have a 50MP primary camera sensor that will shoot 12.5MP resolution images with pixel-binning. It will pack a 4850 mAh battery under the hood. The device will also support 10W charging.

iQOO Z5x

iQOO’s next Z-series model, the Z5x, is rumored to go official in China this month. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC coupled with Adreno 642L GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB storage.

The smartphone supports dual-SIM cards and runs Android 11-based Origin OS 1.0 out-of-the-box. The iQOO Z5 5G sports a triple rear camera module comprising a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro snapper. For selfies and video calling, it has a 16MP front-facing camera.

JioPhone Next

JioPhone Next was scheduled to launch in September in the Indian market. But, it wasn’t the case as the company clarified that it has postponed the launch till Diwali. Now, as Diwali starts in the first week of November, rumors suggest an October end launch.

The phone is rumored to come with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display. It comes with 2GB of RAM. The Jio Phone Next is rumored to run Android and is expected to be powered by a 2500mAh battery. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Jio Phone Next is rumored to pack a single rear camera setup. It is rumored to sport a single front camera setup for selfies.
