ICC T20 World Cup: BCCI and ICC get Permission from UAE officials to have 70% of the maximum capacity for the World Cup

Fans who were waiting in anticipation for the T20 World Cup have some good news from the BCCI and ICC. They have received permission from UAE authorities to have 70% of fans to sit and enjoy the World Cup from the venues.

ICC disclosed this news on their official website yesterday. “In the UAE all venues will be operating at approximately 70% of maximum seated capacity, whilst Abu Dhabi has also introduced new socially distanced ‘pods’ of a maximum of 4 spectators on their east and west grass mounds. The Oman Cricket Academy has had a temporary infrastructure built to welcome 3,000 fans.”

BCCI honourable secretary Jay Shah expressed God delight and thanked the UAE and Oman governments for allowing fans to watch this year’s T20 World Cup.

“I am delighted that the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be played in front of cheering fans both in the UAE and Oman. My sincere thanks to the government of the UAE and Oman for paving the way for fans to return. The anticipation for the World Cup.”

Tickets for the ICC T20 World Cup Go on Sale

After making an announcement that fans will be entitled to watch the ICC T20 World Cup in the stadium, The International Council also declared the sale of tickets for all the 45 fixtures that will be played during this grand tournament.

As a result, fans who wish to witness this spectacle can buy the tickets for a price of 10 OMR and 30 AED in Oman and UAE respectively. ICC revealed that the event is accessible to everyone. They mentioned that the tickets for the T20 World Cup that will take place between 17th October- 14th November will be available on https://www.t20worldcup.com/tickets.

The tickets will be available for fans as per games that will take place in different stadiums. Fans will get all the required information regarding tickets, T&C, Bio-Security, Faqs and refund policy on the website. Moreover, another good news for cricket fans is that ICC and BCCI have taken all the safety measures so that fans can enter the stadiums without having the fear of contracting covid.
