A day after the launch of Galaxy M52 5G, Samsung has launched another mid-range smartphone in India. This time under its Galaxy F series. The company has launched Samsung Galaxy F42 5G with MediaTek processor and a 5000mAh battery. The new mid-range smartphone is a sequel to the Galaxy F41 and is slightly costlier than this device. But users also getting a 5G chipset, Dolby Atmos support as well as a high refresh rate display. So let’s have a look at all the specifications and details of the Smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy F42 features a plain design with a square-shaped rear camera module, and a dewdrop notch style display with a thick chin. The power button doubles up as the fingerprint sensor. The new smartphone comes with a segment-leading 6.6″ FHD+ display with smooth 90Hz refresh rate for stutter-free scrolling and lag-free gaming. It also offers great viewing experience on fast-paced action sequences, minus all the jitters.

Under the hood, it powers on MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor along with up to 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage. Samsung Galaxy F42 5G ensures power-packed performance, smooth multi-tasking and reduced power consumption. Even while browsing and using multiple apps. Its high-octane performance will exceed all your expectations. The phone supports Android 11 and One UI 3.1 out of the box.

It comes with the triple rear camera setup that carries a 64-megapixel primary sensor, along with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera setup also supports a variety of modes, including Hyperlapse, Slow Motion, Food Mode, Night Mode, Panorama, and Pro Mode. The phone has Dolby Atmos support to deliver an immersive sound experience. It ships with a 5,000mAh battery and bundles a 15W adapter. Connectivity options include- 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors onboard include- accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G pricing and availability in India

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is priced at Rs 20,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model and Rs 22,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version. The phone will be on sale in India during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale starting from October 3rd (October 2nd for Flipkart Plus users). It will also be available through Samsung online store and select retail outlets.

As a part of the launch offer, the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G can be purchased at a special introductory price of Rs 17,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model and Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version. There will also be no-cost EMI options and exchange discounts.

The special introductory pricing will notably be valid for a limited period and with the commencement of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale. The phone comes in two colours – Matte Aqua and Matte Black.
