In this recent time, almost everything is becoming digital. This generation does not watch TV at all. Everyone is investing their time on the internet, social media, and digital platform. So, nowadays, many directors and producers are creating web series and TV shows which are released in the digital platform called OTT platform, which makes it easy to access any series or tv shows at any time and anywhere.

There are a lot of options available now to watch, so people are getting confused about what to watch from the unlimited number of lists. Therefore we make a sorted list of web series and Tv shows that were mostly watched by people in India last week, which will help the people not to miss the best one.

Here we present the list of Top 10 web series and TV shows that were most watched in India for the last week:-

1. Ted Lasso

Ted Lasso is a TV+ series of Apple. The series is developed by Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt. The series is all about a midwestern American football coach, the titular Ted Lasso, who somehow found himself as a coach to AFC Richmond, an English football team. Possessing oodles of optimism and an almost superhuman level of emotional intelligence and patience.

2. Only Murders in the Building

Only Murders in the Building is a 2021 American mystery-comedy-based T.V. series. It is created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. The series consists of ten episodes and it was released on 31st August 2021 on Hulu. The series is named Only Murders in the Building followed by three strangers which have been played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez who have shared an obsession with a true-crime podcast. After a murder in their building, the three neighbors decide to start their own show that covers their investigation of the murder. The series has gained a positive review so in September it renewed for its second installment.

3. The Lost Symbol

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol or simply we can say The Lost Symbol is 2021 American action-adventure T.V. series. It is based on Dan Brown’s 2009 novel named The Lost Symbol. The series named The Last Symbol stars Ashley Zukerman as Robert Langdon, Eddie Izzard, Beau Knapp, Rick Gonzalez, Valorie Curry, and Sumalee Montano. This series was developed for Peacock. It was released on 16th September 2021.

The plot is set many years before the events of The Da Vinci Code that revolved around a young Robert Langdon, who was hired by the CIA to solve a number of deadly puzzles when his mentor goes missing

4. Squid Game

Squid Game is a 2021 South Korean drama streaming T.V. series. The series is written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. It consists of nine episodes, starring Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, and Wi Ha-joon. It tells us the story of a group of people who risk their lives in a mysterious survival game with a 45.6 billion (38.7 million) prize. The series was released on 17th September 2021 on Netflix.

5. Y: The Last Man

Y: The Last Man is a post-apocalyptic, science fiction, adventure-drama comic book series. It is a beloved comic series that was published 13 years ago. It was stopped being published, back in 2008. This series is written by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. It was published by Vertigo. This series is produced and executively produced by Eliza Clark and Queen & Slim filmmaker Melina Matsoukas.

Y: The Last Man’s story is based on a post-apocalyptic world whereby a massive natural disaster brings an end to every living mammal with a Y chromosome apart from one man and his pet ape.

6. American Crime Story

American Crime Story is an American anthology of true crime T.V. series. This series has been developed by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. It has been further executively produced by Brad Falchuk, Nina Jacobson, Ryan Murphy, and Brad Simpson. This series is the second installment of the American Story media franchise which has been followed by American Horror Story.

 Each season is presented as a self-contained miniseries and is independent of the events in other seasons. Alexander and Karaszewski did not return after the first season but retain executive-producer credits. The series was released on FX. The first season was named The People v.O.J. Simpson was released on 2nd February 2016. The second season was named The Assassinated of Gianni Versace and was released on 17th January 2018. The third season was titled Impeachment based on the book A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President, also by Toobin. It was recently released on 7th September 2021.

7. Midnight Mass

Midnight Mass is a 2021 American supernatural horror streaming T.V. miniseries. It is created and directed by Mike Flanagan. The plot centers on an isolated island community that experiences supernatural events after the arrival of a mysterious priest. The series stars Zach Gilford, Kate Siegel, Hamish Linklater, Rahul Kholi, and Henry Thomas. It was released on 24th September 2021 on Netflix.

The series is about “a small, isolated island community whose existing divisions are amplified by the return of a disgraced young man and the arrival of a charismatic priest”.

8. Game of Thrones

Games of Thrones is an American fantasy drama TV series. It is created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. The series is based on a fantasy novel named ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ by George R.R. Martin. It is produced by Mark Huffam, Joanna Burn, Frank Doelger, Chris Newman, Greg Spence, Lisa McAtackney, Bryan Cogman, and Duncan Muggoch. Its production companies are HBO Entertainment, Television 360, Grok! Television, Generator Entertainment, Startling Television, and Bighead Littlehead. It contains 8 seasons with 73 episodes. The eighth season was released on 14th April 2019.

9. Naruto Shippuden

Naruto: Shippuden is an anime series. It is mainly adapted from Part II of Masashi Kishimoto’s original manga series. The series is directed by Hayato Date and produced by Pierrot and TV Tokyo. It has firstly premiered on 15th February 2007 on TV Tokyo and concluded on 23rd March 2017. It consists of 21 seasons as a whole

10. What If…?

What if…? is an upcoming American animated anthological-based series. It is based on Marvel comics named the same as the series i.e. What if…?. It is created by A.C. Bradley. It is directed by Bryan Andrews. Its executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum and the production companies are Marvel Studios, Squeeze, and Flying Bark Productions. The animator of the series is Stephan Franck.

The series is based on the plot that what would happen if major moments and characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe occurred differently.
