Apple’s iPhone 13 lineup is here, and the family doesn’t offer many changes in terms of design; however, the only significant change in design from its predecessors is a smaller notch, slightly bigger cameras, and also weighs more than the previous-generation iPhone 12 series.
However, according to a new report, the reason for these minor changes is because the Apple engineers were working on something bigger, and if it’s anybody’s, it is the iPhone 14 series.
According to sources, both the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be adopting punch-hole-style front-facing cameras, and Apple will reportedly be using a titanium alloy chassis for both models.
All Face ID components could be hidden underneath the display, except for only the front-facing camera visible to users. But, according to one display analyst, the under-screen Face ID is not finalized; hence, if things progress well, Apple may switch to the notch if the prototypes are not up to the company’s quality.
2022 may be the year when Apple’s increases the primary camera’s maximum imaging resolution for the first time. We have seen many reports recently that state that the ‘Pro’ models will feature 48MP main cameras, and all of the iPhone 14 models will support 8K video recording.
The Cupertino giant is also expected to bring autofocus support to the ultrawide camera, however, next year, we may see four iPhone 14 models, but the company will most probably not be launching a mini version of iPhone 14.
Other sources confirm that we could expect to get two 6.1-inch models, followed by two 6.7-inch variants, with two of them featuring a lower price than the remaining. With its iPhone 14 range apple is expected to tout its LTPO OLED screens, meaning all four of them can have variable refresh rate displays.
