Cristiano Ronaldo Diet: The Manchester United Midfielder Shares His Favorite Dishes at the Premier League Club

At Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo has already had a significant impact. Even though the Red Devils are still hurting from their shock defeat to Aston Villa, Ronaldo has made his presence felt with four goals in just four games. When you consider that Ronaldo is now 36 years old, it’s incredible that he has been able to return to Premier League play so easily after more than a decade away.

Ronaldo’s impact at Manchester United

However, one of the main reasons Ronaldo can defy the passage of time is his incredible commitment to staying in the greatest physical shape possible.

We’ve all heard incredible stories about Ronaldo’s dedication to his trade and physique, from showing up for training at the crack of dawn to going for recovery swims in the wee hours of the morning.

And it just so happens that Ronaldo has made an influence at Carrington in another way: there are allegations that the Portuguese have changed some of the club’s nutritional strategies.

Food options at Manchester United

As per the Sun, when asked, Ronaldo offered the United chefs a list of his favorite meals, which led to the inclusion of Bacalhau, a classic Portuguese stew. The lunch, which consists of salt cod and eggs, is believed to have topped Ronaldo’s list of favorites and, unlike some of his other choices, appears to have gone over well with his United teammates.

A United insider reportedly said of Ronaldo: “He also loves octopus, but most of the lads won’t go there – even if it works for Ronny!

“Cristiano is very much into his proteins, stuff like slices of ham, eggs, and avocados, and the chefs are trying to help him with a little taste of home.”

And it’s expected that Ronaldo would try to persuade some of United’s other players to adopt his Portuguese-themed diet, even if it’s not the type of food they’re used to.

The Old Trafford source continued: “Ronny may try to convert a few of the lads to Portuguese food, but if some hoped it was just Peri-Peri chicken from Nandos they were disappointed!”

Impact on Manchester United Players

Ronaldo’s gastronomic crusade has been updated just weeks after Lee Grant disclosed that Ronaldo’s choice to skip United’s Friday dessert has prompted his teammates to do the same.

The United shot-stopper told talkSPORT: “I’ll give you one instance of the impact he’s having on the group right. Friday night in the hotel as you’d be aware you finish your dinner and usually on a Friday night you’ve got a few cheat stuff out.

“You’ve got an apple crumble and custard or a brownie and cream, some dessert stuff.
