Royal Challengers Bangalore were in a good spot in the standings until phase two of IPL 2021 began. However, they have lost back to back matches and are in a spot of bother now. As a result, today’s fixture will be crucial as a win would give them a bit of relief as they will reach 12 points in 10 games. The only positive for the Bangalore side will be the consistency of Devdutt Paddikal and Kohli regaining his form back in the last match.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians had a decent first half of IPL 2021. Although the team has struggled and lost both their games in UAE. As a result, they have dropped to sixth spot and will be desperate for a win. Any defeat from this point would make things extremely difficult for the defending champions. Hardik Pandha will probably make his return to the lineup and it could be a big boost for MI.

Prediction for the IPL 2021 Match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians have a slight edge against Royal Challengers Bangalore as they have a balanced bowling order. Meanwhile, RCB have few problems in their middle order and they have looked very bad in the bowling department. Moreover, MI have a better record against Rcb and are expected to secure their first win of phase two of IPL 2021.

Fantasy XI Team

Virat Kohli 10.5 Cr (Captain)

Virat Kohli is a certified match winner and he has proved it time after time. Moreover, the Rcb captain has found his form back after scoring a well made half century. As a result, he will be my captain for today’s game.

Ab De Villiers 10 cr

De Villiers could benefit a lot from this Dubai pitch as it would not change it’s behaviour in the latter stages of the game like it did in Sharjah. Moreover, he is undoubtedly one of the best limited overs batsman currently.

Yuzvendra Chahal 8.5 Cr

Yuzvendra Chahal is the bowler Virat Kohli goes to when in need of a breakthrough. Subsequently, he has done his job in both games by dismissing the openers. As a result, I have selected him in the lineup.

Devdutt Paddikal 9 Cr

Devdutt Paddikal is in great form after making runs against Csk in the last game. The opener manages to contribute in most of the games and his batting could determine Rcb’s fortunes against MI today.

Harshal Patel 9 Cr

Harshal Patel took two wickets against Csk and has performed extremely well for Rcb this season. So it was an obvious choice to pick the purple cap winner for this fixture.

Suryakumar Yadav 9 Cr

Despite misfiring in the first two games, Suryakumar Yadav is a great batsman and is very crucial in MI’s success. Thus he could find his form back against a struggling Rcb side.

Quinton De Kock. 9.5 Cr

Quinton De Kock was the only player who managed to score big against KKR to help his side reach a defendable total. As a result, the South African batsman can score runs in the power play against Rcb and continue his good form.

Rahul Chahar 8.5 Cr

Rahul Chahar has been economical in both games for Mumbai during phase two of IPL 2021. However, in this game, he could also apply pressure and take wickets of Kohli who does not have a great record against leg spinners.

Jasprit Bumrah 9 Cr (Vice Captain)

Jasprit Bumrah was the only positive for the Mumbai Indians bowling attack against KKR. Consequently, one can expect that he will deliver a great performance against Rcb as he has a great record against Kohli and co. Therefore I have selected him as my vice captain for today’s game.

Trent Boult 9 Cr

Trent Boult’s swing could trouble Kohli and Paddikal early on in the innings. Moreover, he is also exception in the death overs which makes him a great player to have in your fantasy lineup.

Krunal Pandya 8.5 Cr

Krunal Pandya has been out of form lately. However, he has a good track record against ABD as he has dismissed him four times. Moreover, he could trouble the likes of Maxwell and Kohli as well. Therefore he is in my fantasy XI.
