Barcelona planning to bring Paulo Dybala on a free transfer in 2022

Dybala

Barcelona are interested in bringing over Paulo Dybala from Juventus next summer, since the Argentinian will be available for free as his contract expires in June 2022. He currently has only one year remaining on his contract with Juventus and hasn’t renewed with the Italian club yet.

At 27, Dybala is at his physical peak and can offer at least five more years at the top level for any club across Europe. He has shown his quality for Juventus time and time again, but has failed to produce quality performances consistently.

Juventus are confident about renewing the contract of the attacker, and believe that it is only a matter of time before he pens a new deal. However, they haven’t agreed on a new salary for the player amongst other small details.

Barcelona are only one of the several clubs interested in the player, and they have their eyes on the forward if the situation persists. Should a player of his calibre become available on a free deal, it is only likely that several top clubs will approach him for his signature.

The Spanish giants are currently in a rebuilding phase and the presence of Sergio Aguero at the club could also help him settle in at Camp Nou. But the main part that makes this deal realistic is that it would be a free transfer, which sits well with Barcelona’s financial troubles right now, and their need for an established forward that can be replacement for Lionel Messi.
