Real Madrid are the second-most influential brand in Spain

Real Madrid are the most influential brand in Spain behind Zara, according to a study by Diario AS. The club recognises itself as a business model and is extremely successful in the same as well. 

The club exceeds other brands in the country by 29.46% and is surveyed according to a study prepared by DataCentric. Madrid are second, having taken 26.02% in the survey. Supermarket chain Mercadona is in third place at 13.90%. Barcelona and Banco Santander also ranked highly, but some way off the top three.

Barcelona and Banco Santander are also among the top institutions but are behind the top three names in the report. Madrid have been the dominating force in European football ever since the beginning of the Champions League, winning the first five editions of the competition. 

They have won the Champions League a record 13 times in total, and some of the greatest players in the history of the game have donned the famous white shirt for Los Blancos. Madrid are currently in a promising transition phase, with youngsters like Vinicius Jr, Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Eder Militao deemed to be the future of the team.

Some of the best youngsters in the game right now, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are linked with the Spanish giants as well. Every young player dreams of one day being able to play for the 13-time Champions League winners, and as a result, they are rightfully one of the most influential names in Spain.
