Why Mi Notebook Ultra has become one of the best options under ₹60,000?

Buying a laptop is so confusing out there that you might have to do a lot of research so as to get the best laptop for your budget. Also, it depends on your usage and activities so as to which laptop you might end up buying, so, take for example the latest notebook flagship from Xiaomi – the Mi Notebook Ultra.

So, we tried to make things simpler for you, and also state why people are loving this laptop so much. Here are the overall specs for the ₹60,000 price variant:

So, here are the reasons why you should buy the new Mi Notebook Ultra and why it is already the 6th best selling laptop on Amazon India:

Mi Notebook Ultra with 11th Gen Intel CPUs, 3.2K display and up to 12 hours battery life launched

Display

The display you are talking about for the price is just unbelievable, featuring a 15.6-inch display with 3.2K resolution that has 3 times as many pixels as a Full HD screen, 6.4 million pixels to be precise, accounting for 242 pixels per inch.

With a newer 16:10 aspect ratio, 89.1% screen-to-body ratio, you get more screen out of the chassis and the experience is much better than other 14 to 15.6-inch laptop variants you see for the same price. When others are giving a low-quality panel, this laptop covers 100% sRGB Wide Colour Gamut and has a 90Hz refresh rate.

In this price range, Xiaomi is offering the best display and if you are someone who is obsessed with laptop displays then for sure you will end up buying this laptop.

Design & build

Okay, I get it, the design is mostly a copy of Macbooks but giving such high quality material on a laptop that costs Rs.60k is in itself a huge task. I like the fact that Xiaomi has given everything to make the laptop look as well as feel premium, made from a 6-series aerospace-grade aluminium alloy that is 1.4 times stronger than a 5-series aluminium alloy.

The CNC unibody design is precisely carved using a machine and delicately polished into a sleek body by 17 intricate processes. Although, it doesn’t have the originality like Macbooks people who like those products yet cannot afford they will definitely love the Mi Notebook Ultra.

Keyboard & Trackpad

I have seen myself, laptop manufacturers saving costs by giving non-backlit keyboards and give trackpads that are just not enough big to use. However, Xiaomi gave a Scissor Mechanism keyboard that supports 3 Level Backlighting and the keys have a good 1.5 mm key travel.

Also, you get a 62% larger trackpad than Mi NoteBook 14 (2020) and indeed it’s pretty huge like Macbook Pros. Then you have a Fingerprint scanner built into the power button with support for faster unlocks using Windows Hello.

Why Mi Notebook Ultra has become one of the best options under ₹60,000?

Connectivity Options & Battery Life

In a mid-range laptop, some makers do a cut-down in terms of ports or connectivity options which is not the case here. You get the latest Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 options, thanks for being an Intel-powered laptop you have a Thunderbolt 4 port which is 8 times faster than USB 3.2 and support charging via the in-box charger.

Xiaomi also claims with the Mi Notebook Ultra you get an impressive 12 hours of battery life, however, if you get 7-8 hours on a laptop that costs only Rs.60k, you cannot complain further.

Easy Financing options

Xiaomi in recent years has made its devices easier to buy by partnering with banks like HDFC, ICICI and are giving some great options for people. Suppose if you own an HDFC bank card, you get up to Rs. 4,500 cashback and on top of that 12 months No Cost EMI option for every bank card.

So, even if you do not have an HDFC bank card still you can pay only ₹5,000 per month and get the laptop, plus, on Amazon India you have other exchange offers to make the deal even sweeter.

Our thoughts

This is the reason why the new Mi Notebook Ultra has quickly become one of the best-selling laptops including its brother Mi Notebook Pro. Though the quad-core Intel chips are being very much highlighted the performance is ok for everyday work and you do get other Intel benefits.

You cannot do high-end tasks on the laptop but still for everyday use involving Office, Photoshop, browsing, coding and others will definitely love this laptop.

Even students at their school or college will find this a lucrative option and it should be for such price and with great financing options, I wish all laptop makers follow Xiaomi pretty soon.
