Samsung Galaxy S22 appears on Geekbench, reveals details of the Snapdragon 898 SoC

Qualcomm will be unveiling the Snapdragon 898 over the next few months, and details of the flagship chipset have been emerging over the past few days. The latest leak sheds some light on the core details and the GPU onboard the chipset by way of a Geekbench test of the Galaxy S22.

The Snapdragon 898 will feature Qualcomm’s own Adreno 730 on the GPU side, early benchmarks indicate that the Snapdragon 898 could offer slightly worse peak GPU performance in comparison to its rival, the Exynos 2200.

Throttling is said to be less, however, the Snapdragon 898 is listed with one big Cortex-X2 core clocked in a 3.0GHz, three cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and four cores clocked at 1.79 GHz.

We can expect them to be the new Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510 cores respectively.
