Paul Pogba positive about renewing his contract with Manchester United

Paul Pogba is reportedly willing to renew his contract with Manchester United in the near future. The midfielder only has one year remaining on his current deal, and the club are planning to offer him fresh terms as well. However, negotiations are currently stalled right now.

Manchester United are currently at the top of the Premier League table alongside Chelsea and Liverpool. The return of Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane, and the arrival of Jadon Sancho has played out well for the club. The great start to the season has apparently changed Pogba’s mind about staying at Old Trafford.

Last season, Mino Raiola publicly stated that his client, Pogba, would be leaving United this summer. However, the summer transfer window passed by without Pogba leaving the club. Four games into the new season, he has seven assists and leads the race for the playmaker award in England.

PSG and Real Madrid maintain an interest in the Frenchman should the negotiations fall through. They did not bid for the player this summer, since Pogba was selected regularly and played well during the latter half of 20/21.

But considering the way that Manchester United are performing and the positive atmosphere around the team, Pogba will likely finalise a new deal soon.

He is one of the best-paid players in the Premier League, and the new deal could see him earn a bigger amount, closer to Cristiano Ronaldo, who earns more than half a million pounds a week.
