Samsung rolling out RAM Plus Virtual RAM feature in Galaxy A52s 5G

Samsung has started rolling out a Virtual RAM feature for the Galaxy A52s 5G with the new software update. To recall, Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G in India a few days ago. However, just a few days after its launch, the company is rolling out a new software update for the smartphone. This update brings a feature that is now available in Vivo, Xiaomi and Realme recently launched devices – RAM Plus. This Virtual RAM feature provides better multitasking, which leverages some additional memory from the phone’s internal storage.

Virtual RAM is a feature that allocates the required amount of internal memory for being used as temporary RAM when required. While the internal storage is not volatile and not as fast as actual RAM, this feature does help users have a smoother experience when they exhaust their RAM and are having to use a laggy smartphone.

Coming back to the RAM Plus feature of Galaxy A52s 5G, the smartphone can now get additional up to 4GB of additional virtual memory using the feature. The update carries firmware version A528BXXU1AUH9 and is currently being rolled out in India. The update also includes camera stability and device stability improvements along with big fixes.

The update, carrying firmware version A528BXXU1AUH9, is now rolling out in India. If you’re in India, or in other countries, you can see if the update has hit your Galaxy A52s 5G and if so, install it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The update includes RAM Plus along with improvements to camera stability while also adding device stability. It also comes with bug fixes. new and enhanced features and the August 1st security update.

The RAM Plus feature is not new by any means. As SamMobile points out, this is a refreshed version of Android’s memory paging system for memory allocation.

The Snapdragon 778-powered Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G was recently launched in India for INR 35,999. It includes a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) resolution AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Galaxy A52s 5G is IP67 dust and water-resistant certified and looks and feels similar to the Galaxy A52 that was introduced earlier in India.

The Galaxy A52s has a 64MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field-of-view, a 5MP macro camera and a 5MP depth sensor. There is also a 32MP selfie camera on the front. It houses a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.
