India’s 19-medal tally at the Paralympic Games is their best ever performance in any competition

After breaking the personal record for the most number of qualifying athletes, India have surpassed all expectations when it comes to success at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

The Indian para-athletes have won 19 medals in total, putting them within the top 25 countries with the most medals at the Games. The distribution is 5 gold medals, 8 silvers and 6 bronze medals.

The previous best for the para-athletes was 4 medals throughout the tournament, and they have surpassed that record by a huge margin.
