Money Heist is a Spanish heist crime drama TV series. It is created by Alex Pina. It is executively produced by Alex Pina, Sonia Martinez, Jesus Colmenar, Lobato, Cristina Lopez Ferraz and Nacho Manubens. Its production companies are Atresmedia and Vancouver Media. It contains 4 seasons having 31 episodes. It has a running time of 41-59 minutes for each episode. It was firstly released on 20th December 2017. The fifth season is going to be released within a month. The head writer of season 5 is Javier Gomez Santander.
Short glimpses about the series
This story is based in Madrid, in the first two seasons a mysterious man named ‘The Professor’ recruits a set of 8 people who choose city names for themselves to avoid personal sharing of life in order to carry out an extraordinary, brilliant, impossible, and ambitious plan of robbing The Royal Mint of Spain.
In the next two seasons, the groups are forced to come out from their nutshell in order to save one of their members of the heist. In this season, they prepared for a second heist, this time, it’s The Bank of Spain, and again they deal with hostages and police forces simultaneously.
Expectations
In the last season, they left us with many loose ends that where the new season will try to meet the ends.
Lisbon has fewer chances to get out of The Bank of Spain because Inspector Sierra has dominated The Professor. Whereas The Professor has to play cleverly and make a plan of escape, and meanwhile Lisbon will have to continue to melt the gold.
We can expect the series to end on a happy note. The directors may reunite Lisbon and the Professor with all the other heist members and give the series finale an emotional goodbye.
Teaser itself gave a heart-thumping reaction to the audience. In this teaser, there’s a lot of action. The army is inside the bank and continues to attack in order to force the gang to surrender, but they did not. They continue to fight. While the members make their way through The Bank of Spain. The professor was outside managing from there, but in a second’s blink, the Professor was found to be tied to a chair’s hint, assuming that Alicia Sierra has managed to overpower him.
This season is going to be the ultimate one. It will surpass all the expectations of the audience. Above the teaser, we can only say that we will experience a brilliant escape. Audiences are waiting to see how they will escape by melting the gold into tiny balls and how all the gang members reunite with the Professor, and how they led their life afterward were revealed.
Review
Season 5 of Money Heist Volume is all about the extreme battle of their survival. This heist is no more a normal heist, it has converted into war. War was the most heard word ever since the buzz around La Casa De Papel aka Money Heist fifth and final season.
This season is the most unexpected season that the fans ever wanted. This season is high on adrenaline that is not to complain. By seeing this season, all the theories of the fans were slashed, while new characters are getting their way in the series and the loved ones are being sacrificed.
The guns and grenades from a battlefield have found their way into the bank. The gang will not leave any stone, wall, roof, even iron gates unmoved to take on the army.
“It’s no more a robbery. It is war”, the professor has said. He was at the mercy of Alicia Sierra and so was the team in red inside the Bank of Spain.
The first two episodes will mislead us, it will help us to set up the mood, but it quickly vrooms through another turn. We will see how Alicia tortures The Professor. But do not forget that The Professor can manage everything. Meanwhile, Colonel Tamayo has declared Alicia a national traitor at a press conference and watching that Alicia cannot take up the stress, while The Professor got the chance and has started his job by hitting her weak point. Unfortunately due to the stress and situation, Alicia’s water broke.
Stockholm finally fires some bullets but they hit Arturo, the father of her son. Soon after that, she became the victim of hallucinations and anxiety attacks. Yes, you got it right finally Arturo get out of The Bank of Spain.
This season also stands for its brilliant backstories which were presented and portrayed in between their survival attacks. We will see Manila’s journey as a transgender, her struggle for acceptance, and her past connection with Denver. We will also see Berlin with her sassy girlfriend and a new face in this whole series i.e. Berlin’s son named Rafael. In these backstories, we have seen how his son has become a robber, how Berlin has taught him this. I am betting that Rafael will definitely have a very crucial role to play in this series.
We have also seen the backstory of Tokyo of how she picked her name. In this season we will not see Tokyo as before- a hot-headed, vulnerable, volatile, impulsive, gang member, but we have seen an emotional world of her, her dead boyfriend, her dreams, and her desires. From losing one lover to finding another one (Rio) is the mushiest sub-plot in the story that has been put together.
What is good and bad about the current season is not really the point, but it is all about the entire game of survival and quick thinking. The gang has become better they do not miss their targets, now it has been known by the armies also. The gang is coming down heavily on them. Every character has their own moment and we can cheer from the edge of our seats.
Nairobi is still not forgotten and neither is Moscow. Their heartwarming flashbacks bring a smile in that inter-cut battle scenes.
Overall this whole season is full of battle and their survivals. The editing was done at its best while putting the flashback stories in between the action scenes and the narration of the storytelling, the action sequences, and the execution of the plot everything is just 10/ 10 as well as the performances of the actors. This season has excelled in every aspect.
Only three months are left for its final set of episodes. Volume 2 of season 5 will air on 3rd December 2021.
