Xiaomi Mi TV 5X Series with 4K HDR Panel, 40W Stereo Speakers Launched in India

Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi TV 5X in India today at its Smarter Living 2022 launch event. The newly launched Mi TV 5X brings in a number of improvements compared to the Mi TV 4X. The Mi TV 5X comes in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch screen sizes. It has launched alongside a host of other products including Mi Smart Band 6, Mi Router 4A Gigabit edition, Mi 360 Home Security Camera 2K Pro and new Mi Notebooks at the brand’s Mi Smarter Living event.

The Mi TV 5X is a premium offering from Xiaomi and it packs flagship specifications. It arrives as the successor to the Mi TV 4X that had debuted back in 2019. Here are the specifications and pricing details.

Xiaomi Mi TV 5X Specifications

The Mi TV 5X 43, 50, and 55-inch models share a lot of features in common and mainly differ in size and sound output. The 43-inch model comes with 30W dual speakers, while the 50-inch and 55-inch models come equipped with 40W stereo speakers.

All three Mi TV 5X models come with 4K HDR (3840×2160) displays that support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG. The displays are backed by Vivid Picture Engine 2, 1 billion colours, and covers 100% DCI P3 wide colour gamut. The Mi TV 5X comes with a metallic stand and carbon fibre rear finish.

In terms of sound, the Mi TV 5X series features two speakers that deliver up to 40W sound. The TVs support Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD. Connectivity options include three HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, an ethernet port, an optical port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and AV input. The TVs also support eARC, Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE, and Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.

These three TV models are powered by a 64-bit quad-core A55 processor. They come with 2GB of RAM and packs 16GB of storage. On the software side of things, the Mi TV 5X series run Android TV 10 operating system with Xiaomi’s own PatchWall 4 UI.

The company has added 75+ free live channels and Universal Search across 30 OTT apps on the PatchUI 4. The Mi TV 5X also has a Chromecast built-in which allows users to stream their favourite TV series, movies from smartphones, laptops on the TV.

The latter offers various features including an IMDb integration, universal search, kids mode, smart recommendations, and more. The TV also offers a Quick Wake feature that is capable of switching on the TV in less than 5 seconds.

Xiaomi Mi TV 5X pricing and availability in India

The new Mi TV 5X is priced in India at Rs. 31,999 for the 43-inch model, Rs. 41,999 for the 50-inch model, and Rs. 47,999 for the 55-inch model. Exact availability details and launch offers will be detailed soon.

Mi TV 5X Series will be available across Mi.com, Flipkart.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio, and Croma, starting September 7 at 12 pm (noon). Launch offers include up to Rs. 3,000 instant discount with HDFC Bank credit cards and EasyEMI conversions, apart from up to nine-month no-cost EMI offers from leading banks and NBFCs.
