Xbox Wireless Headset gets a cheaper wired variant

Back in February, Microsoft announced the Xbox Wireless Headset, a $99 pair of headphones for your new Xbox console. If you prefer wired headphones, it is your lucky day as Microsoft has you covered with the new wired model called the Xbox Stereo Headset that is also significantly cheaper.

The Xbox Stereo Headset has a similar design to the Xbox Wireless Headset. It comes in black with soft leather-cushioned earcups and on-ear controls. The addition is a neon-green wire that has a 35mm connector at its end.

The product page says it has support for spatial sound including Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X.

The microphone is adjustable and can be tucked away when not needed. The user can still adjust the volume by turning the dial on the right earcup but The Verge has reported that the chat/game audio mixing dial on the left earcup is no longer available.
