iQOO launches the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro in China

iQOO has launched the iQOO 8 Series in China today. The lineup consists of two devices, the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro. Both the smartphone are now equipped with top-of-the-line Snapdragon chipsets among which the Pro model comes with the latest and the best Snapdragon 888+ processor.

iQOO 8

The iQOO 8 features a 6.56″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2376x1080p, it has a high refresh rate of 120Hz with a 10-bit display. The iQOO 8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, unlike the pro variant that has the Snapdragon 888+ SoC. The device runs on Android 11 OS-based OriginOS 1.0.

Coming to the camera specs of the iQOO 8, it has a triple-camera setup on the rear with a 48MP+13MP+13MP setup, it has a 16MP camera on the front integrated into the punch-hole display.

Apart from this, the iQOO 8 has an X-Linear Motor integrated into it along with VC Liquid Cooling so that your device does not heat up while gaming. It has support for NFC and features an in-display fingerprint scanner. iQOO has used an independent display chip in the iQOO 8, it appears to be an amazing gaming phone as it has Glimble Stabilization, Multi-Turbo 5.5, 4D Game Vibration, and VIS five-axis Video Stabilization. The device is available in a White, Legendary Edition Black, and BMW Motorsport colorway.

The iQOO 8 has a 4,350mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging! It also comes with an LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1. iQOO is releasing the iQOO 8 in two storage variants, an 8GB+128GB variant that is priced at Yuan 3799 or 43,555 INR and another 12GB+256GB variant that is priced at Yuan 4199 or 48,200 INR but as part of the introductory offer, you can get it for Yuan 4099 or 47,000 INR.

iQOO 8 Pro

The iQOO 8 Pro features a 6.78″ AMOLED LTPO screen with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. The device has a 2K E5 10-bit resolution. Coming to the camera specs of the device, the iQOO 8 Pro has a triple-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP Ultra-Wide angle lens, and a 16MP Portrait lens. The front camera is a 16MP selfie shooter.

The iQOO 8 Pro has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC powering it, the best chipset out there from Qualcomm at present. The device has an in-display fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 11 OS-based OriginOS 1.0. It has an LPDDR5 RAM with UFS 3.1, support for NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2. It has a 4,500mAh battery along with support for 120W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The device carries an Independent display chip, it has a touch sampling rate of 300Hz, an instant touch sampling rate of 1000Hz, and 14 Display Mate A+ Record. The iQOO 8 Pro has 4GB of Virtual RAM, Dolby Vision, Glimble Stabilization, Multi Turbo 5.5, and an X-axis motor with VC Liquid Cooling and Dual Stereo Speakers.

The iQOO 8 Pro comes in 3 variants, an 8GB+256GB variant that retails for Yuan 4,999 or 57,300 INR, a 12GB+256GB variant that retails for Yuan 5,499 or 63,050 INR, and a 12GB+512GB variant that retails for Yuan 5,999 or 68,800 INR. The iQOO 8 Pro comes in a Black Legendary variant and the BMW Motorsport Track variant.

Both the devices are up for pre-orders in China, the iQOO 8 will go on sale from 24th August while the iQOO 8 Pro will go on sale from 26th August.
