A player’s market value is considered a valuation of their talents and the price that other teams woupd pay for them. It is determined by various factors, including their form and their age. As a result, here are the top five players whose market value has risen the most in recent months. 

5. Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund) | +£25.20m

The England international left Birmingham City as their most expensive sale ever, causing them to retire his number 22 shirt. At 18, he has impressed fellow players and coaches all across Europe and is expected to be a world class talent in the years to come. 

4. Mason Mount (Chelsea) | +£27.00m

Market value: £67.50m

Percentage increase: 66.7%

Mount broke into the team under Frank Lampard, and has continued to show his importance to the Chelsea squad under Thomas Tuchel. The player is one of the first names on the team sheet, and winning the Champions League has helped boost his market value significantly. 

3. Erling Braut Haaland (Borussia Dortmund) | +£27.00m

Percentage increase: 30%

Haaland is without a doubt the most exciting young player in the world right now. The Borussia Dortmund star was the runner-up behind Robert Lewandowski in the Bundesliga top scorer race, but finished as the highest scorer in the Champions League with 10 goals and is one of the favourites to challenge Lewandowski this year.

Percentage increase: 77.8%

After being discarded from Real Madrid and finding refuge in their city rivals, Llorente has solidified himself as one of the most versatile players in all of Europe. The midfielder recorded 10+ goals and assists as Atletico Madrid clinched their first league title in several years.

Percentage increase: 166.7%

Pedri’s surge in market value came from his performances in the Euros for Spain. The 18-year-old was Luis Enrique’s first choice in midfield, and he did a remarkable job for his country, further leading them into the finals of the Olympics. The Barcelona graduate is expected to be the next Golden Boy, and he fully deserves all the praise he is receiving.
