HERE WE GO: Messi and PSG reach total agreement for transfer

Lionel Messi is all set to reunite with Neymar at PSG, since he has accepted the bid placed by Paris Saint-Germain and the two parties have total agreement regarding the move.

The transfer has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means that it is as good as done. Fans can expect an announcement from the French club soon regarding the arrival of the six-time Ballon d’Or award winner.

Messi has agreed a two-year deal with PSG, and the club has the option to extend the deal until 2024. The total salary agreed is €35 million including add-ons. The player is expected to be in Paris in the next few hours to be unveiled as a PSG player.

There were rumours that he could be announced as a new player as soon as today, since the club had booked the Eiffel Tower for August 10th. And if everything goes smoothly, we could be seeing the Argentinian holding up a PSG shirt by the end of the night.

The player recently ended his 21-year long association with Barcelona due to La Liga rulings that prevented the club from re-signing the player. He gave an emotional press conference on Sunday ahead of Barcelona’s friendly match with Juventus that they won 3-0.

PSG have been the only club realistically in the race for Messi, since Manchester City pulled out of the race with Pep Guardiola announcing they had no plans to go for him. With the arrival of the 34-year-old, PSG have arguably had the most successful transfer window in history and have the most threatening squad ahead of the new season.
