RedmiBook Pro with Intel Core i5-11300H launched in India for ₹49,999

Finally, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched the much-awaited RedmiBook Pro in India, powered by Intel’s 11th Gen Core i5-11300H processor. As expected, the pricing has been kept aggressive at only ₹49,999 and if you own an HDFC Bank card you can get it for only ₹46,499 for an effective ₹3,500 instant discount.

The laptop will be available on Flipkart, Mi Home and Mi online stores and for the price, the RedmiBook Pro is a great offering from Xiaomi.

The RedmiBook has a great design with a metallic finish and looks like a MacBook clone but in a good sense. The Charcoal Grey tone gives a modern look to it and should feel well on hands.

The RedmiBook Pro sports a 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display with an 81.8% screen-to-body ratio and it’s an Anti-glare screen so you won’t have any reflections.

Unlike the Mi NoteBook 14 launched last year, the RedmiBook Pro comes with a built-in 720p HD webcam. Redmi India has kept the keyboard nice and usable with a scissor mechanism and having 1.5mm key travel but lacks backlighting. Then you have a big trackpad that supports both multi-touch and gestures, thanks to Windows Precision drivers.

Coming to the performance of the laptop, it sports the new 11th Gen Core i5-11300H processor with 4 cores and 8 threads, having a max boost clock speed of 4.4GHz and also has the newer Intel Xe graphics. This comes coupled with 8GB 3200Mz DRR4 RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD, so should give a good performance overall.

It is a budget laptop and so doesn’t support the latest Wi-Fi 6 but has support to Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0, which makes sense.

For audio, you have 2 x 2W Stereo speakers with DTS audio processing and should give a decent sound for listening to music or even watching movies.

In terms of battery life, the 46WHr battery here claims to give up to 10 hours of battery life and supports fast charging, giving 50% charge in just 33 minutes, thanks to the 65W power adapter.

Another thing I liked about the RedmiBook Pro is that Redmi didn’t skip on giving the MS Office Home & Student 2019 license with this laptop and is very essential these days paired with Windows 10 Home. Also, it sports Xiaomi’s own proprietary Mi Smart Share allows you to quickly share files from your phone to the RedmiBook.

Overall, the RedmiBook Pro is a pretty promising laptop for ₹49,999 and should be a good deal for one who is looking for a reliable laptop under Rs.50k. It should be well enough for daily work or education and the long battery life as well as a good display does help a lot in doing multiple things.

Also, stuffed with all the Intel goodness, the new RedmiBook Pro is a good offering by Xiaomi aka Redmi. The first sale of the laptop is scheduled for 6th August at 12 PM. Buy from here: https://lite.bz/34nUAC
