Horizon Forbidden West delayed to the year 2022

According to new reports Horizon Forbidden West’s release date got delayed until 2022. Sony did not provide any specific reason for the delay or they did not make any announcement also.

In the trailer of the game which debuts during a revel event of Sony’s PlayStation 5. In the trailer, we can see alloy the main protagonist narrating about the new game’s threat and gameplays.

Bloomberg reported, because of this delay the game Horizon Forbidden West will release in the first quarter of the year 2022. Sony is contacted by GameSpot after this report. This game Horizon Forbidden West will release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.


Forbidden West seemed comparatively likely to slip, as Herman Hulst the PlayStation studio head began floating a delay in June. The PlayStation studio head stated “we think we are on track to release this holiday season” but noted, “that isn’t quite certain yet.”

If this is confirmed then this would be this year’s long string of delays.  Many gaming developers and game publishers faced development complications due to the coronavirus pandemic which affect the efficiency of the studio as they adjusting to the work from home structure. 

The game Horizon Forbidden West is a follow-up game of Horizon Zero Dawn. Horizon Zero Dawn is Guerrilla games’ 2017 hit game. This game follows “the heroine alloy as through nature reclaimed post-apocalypse which is filled with animalistic and vicious machines.
