Mi Pad 5 series specs tipped again prior to rumored August launch

Xiaomi is expected to announce a wide variety of products such as the Mi MIX 4, Mi CC11 Pro, and the Mi Pad 5 series of tablets. Reports have revealed the major specs of the three variants that are expected to feature on the Mi Pad 5.

A Chinese tipster has shared the key specs of these models so we can get an idea of what to expect from the Mi Pad 5 lineup.

According to the new leak, the first variant will be a 5G- ready model with Snapdragon 870 chipset, a 10.95″ LCD panel that offers 2K resolution, most likely with a high refresh rate of 120Hz. It will also carry an 8,720mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. When it comes to the camera, it will have a 48MP rear camera. and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The second variant will also be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset, it will be a Wi-Fi-only device. The leak mentions the presence of a 12MP camera instead of a 48MP camera, with 672 fast charging. The other specs are all expected to be similar to the first one. The model numbers are rumored to be M210581AC and M210581C for the first device and the second device respectively as per the certification granted to them by China’s 3C regulatory body.

The third model will feature an LCD panel that supports a 2K resolution and a high refresh rate 120Hz. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 860 SoC which will offer 33W fast charging along with a 12MP camera. This could possibly carry the model number 21051182C as per the 3C regulatory body.

The tipster also hinted at a Snapdragon 768G variant but there are no other details regarding it. It is possible that it could debut as the Redmi device. The company launched a 12.9″ tablet powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC(Wi-Fi only version) next year.
