Ola’s new electric scooter registers over 100,000 reservations in just one day

Ola has been in the news recently for its newly released electric scooter. The popular ride-hailing app has been venturing into new spaces lately, with its foray into food delivery and now electric vehicles, the company is increasing its presence in the country.

Ola opened up the reservations for its electric scooter and within 24 hours received over 100,000 bookings according to the company. If what Ola says is accurate, it will make their scooter the most pre-booked scooter in the world. Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Group CEO of Ola mentioned that he is thrilled by this overwhelming response from customers across India for their first electric scooter.

This demand showcases the preference of customers towards electronic vehicles. The Ola scooter can be reserved at a mere 499 INR or $6.7 on the company’s official OlaElectric website.

The Ola electric scooter has been made in India and features a twin-pod LED headlamp with an LED strip running around it. The company had also added that this scooter will offer the largest boot space in this segment.

Currently, Ola has not yet divulged any other details of the scooter, the reported range of the scooter is 150 kilometers per full charge but it has not yet been confirmed by Ola.
