Brahim Diaz has officially completed his move to AC Milan, as revealed by the club. The Real Madrid midfielder joins the Rossoneri on a two-year loan deal with the option to buy.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Brahim Abdelkader Díaz from Real Madrid CF on a temporary basis for two years. The contract ties the football player to the Rossoneri Club until 30 June 2023.”, the club wrote on their official website to announce the return of the player.

Diaz will wear the number 10 shirt for Milan, which was vacated following the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu to rivals Inter. Real Madrid have included a buyback clause in his contract worth €27 million, while Milan can purchase Diaz permanently for €22 million.

He was very impressive in his initial loan spell at San Siro, helping the club back to the top four, and the Champions League. He played 27 games in Serie A for the red and black club, scoring 4 goals and providing the same number in assists.

Diaz came through the Manchester City academy before being signed by Real Madrid in January 2019. He was initially loaned out to Milan in 2020, and will now spend the next two years with them at the very least. Milan continued their impressive performance in the transfer market with the return of Diaz. They have already made the transfer of Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali permanent. They have also signed Olivier Giroud and Mike Maignan on a permanent transfer, building up an impressive squad ahead of the new season.
