Intel Accelerated Webcast to be held on July 27: When to watch, what to expect?

Intel will make some big announcements at its Intel Accelerated event that will be held on July 27th. As stated, Intel will be accelerating its annual cadence of innovation with new advancements in the semiconductor process and packaging as part of its IDM 2.0 strategy.

It is confirmed that this webcast will directly involve the company’s new CEO, Pat Gelsinger, as well as Dr Ann Kelleher, senior vice president and general manager of Technology Development. It is stated that they will be providing a deeper look at Intel’s process and packaging roadmaps.

When: 2:30 a.m. IST, Tuesday, July 27

Where: Watch live on the Intel Newsroom.

Event Replay: A video replay will be available on the Intel Newsroom following the webcast.

So, this was about the event and when & how to watch it, now if we talk more about what to expect, then it is clear that Intel is refocussing on what it did the best for the past decades – make semiconductors. Also, Pat Gelsinger’s appointment has added a new boost to the company, and they are indeed focussing on making chips faster.

Through IDM 2.0, Pat Gelsinger talked about driving Intel’s next wave of products by using the best the market has to offer. However, Intel also plans to expand its own manufacturing to attract new customers as we saw the demand for semiconductors would not stop.

This webcast could give a more detailed look at the 10nm development on the SuperFin/Enhanced SuperFin, and eventually, discussions leading to the 7nm process. Now, it would be interesting to see if Intel opens up about its partnership with foundries like TSMC or Samsung and even talk about its upcoming GPUs.
