Google soon to release two new features in Google Meet

Google has announced 2 new features for Google Meet soon to be rolled out in the 4th week of July. Google Meet is a video conferencing platform widely used across the world and ever since it’s release Google has worked to make it better and better.

After adding two additional features last month; the first one being the redesigned layout of Google Meet where the user’s self-view will appear in the bottom right corner allowing the users to have better focus on the streamed data provided on the main screen. Following which the second added feature was Google meet’s new ability to blur and replace self video and general meeting backgrounds.

Currently, Google Meet livestreams is capable of streaming to 100,000 people but now Google is rolling out two new features which will improve Google Meet’s livestreaming ability.

However, post this new update users will be able to invite users from other domains as well for their livestreams.

Other than this Google has also added caption support on live streams which can prove to be a very beneficial accessibility feature for users who are not able to hear or have hearing problems.

Google has stated that these abovementioned features will be available for use from 27th July onwards.
