It’s the year of the software revolution people and social media platforms are competing to add more new features to make their service more attractive to their subscriber base. And when it comes to adding new features, Instagram is not someone to shy away from the ordeal.

Though we are still waiting for a complete Instagram app to be launched for the iPad, the company has still silently rolled the option for users to create and publish posts directly from their Mac.

This new feature will now allow users to create and publish posts directly from your Mac, without the need for their smartphone. Users will also get new options available to use filters, edit photos as well as videos. It was a Twitter user Matt Navarra who first spotted the change and tweeted about it, and the feature is now live on the Instagram website.

If you are not sure, you can go to the Instagram website and log in with your details. If the feature is available for you, you will see an alert on the top of your Instagram homepage screen that reads: “Now you can create and share posts directly from your computer.”

on the website, you just have to simply tap on the + icon situated on the top right corner of the screen to get started. However, it’s still too soon to rejoice as the social media service, still does not allow iPad users to create and publish posts. It would make much more sense if the option is available for iPad owners as well. but it seems that the service is bent on ignoring the pleas and cries of the iPad users.
