Majority of flagship devices to feature punch-hole cameras in 2022

The trend of punch-hole cameras seems to be catching up real quick and it is here to stay. Reports from a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the majority of the premium flagship smartphones arriving next year will feature a punch-hole selfie shooter.

The known tipster stated that smartphones with under-display camera technology are expected to debut sometime in the third quarter of this year, most premium devices next year will still forego this technology and stick with the punch-hole design.

The blogger further added that some device makers will be the first to launch handsets that will debut the under-display cameras, but the majority of the market is still reluctant to adopt this camera technology.

Currently, OEM’s like Xiaomi is working on devices with under-display cameras. Samsung is another company looking to release a handset with a similar design featuring a high-resolution selfie camera. Samsung may release it in August of 2021.
