After multiple leaks and rumors, Motorola has officially announced the Motorola Defy smartphone. The Moto Defy series is making comeback after 11 years. The company had launched its first Moto Defy series handset back in 2010. It was the first device in the world that was dustproof and water-resistant. The newly announced Motorola Motorola Defy rugged smartphone also maintains the same legacy, as the device has doubled sealed shell, IP68 rating, and MIL-SPEC 810H certification. The smartphone runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It draws power from a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 20W fast charging. The Motorola Defy will ship with a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel, which is interrupted by a waterdrop style notch that houses the phone’s 8MP selfie camera. At the back, we get a 48MP primary sensor a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The display panel is coated with 0.7mm Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and it is recessed 0.5mm for extra protection. The LED flash is also located inside the camera module.
