Asus develops more Nvidia RTX 30 series custom cards with Lower hash rates

According to fresh sources, ASUS has added some new models of the Nvidia’s RTX 30 series line-up to its custom graphics cards list. Reports indicate that all of these models offer a feature called LHR, or Lite Hash Rate.

ASUS mentioned that the addition of these features will make these GPUs less desirable for cryptocurrency miners, and will hopefully lead to more GPUs reaching the hands of gamers. According to sources, the company added six LHR models which range from different GPU series like ASUS’s DUAL, TUF, KO, and TURBO GPU series.

ASUS stated that it has followed NVIDI’s guidelines as perfectly as possible, the company also have added the LHR tag to the product page, and they have also added it to the packaging. The company also revealed that none of the technical specs have changed as each card still features the same number of cores, TMUs, ROPs, and clock speeds ( Boost and Base).

This also means that the company has made sure that all these cards will feature a lowered hash rate compared to the original cards, they should still feature the same performance in-game! according to sources, it also included that besides the LHR feature, the overall design of each card has remained the same.

Nvidia clearly stated that these GPUs which will have lower hash rates were developed owing to the current GPU shortage. This shortage was partly brought forth due to the rise in cryptocurrency miners taking many GPUs. This shortage has frustrated many gamers as they have either been unable to update their current PC or finish building their previous PC.

The six models which Asus will be releasing include the ASUS RTX 3070 LHR 8 GB DUAL OC V2, ASUS RTX 3070 LHR 8 GB KO V2 OC, and ASUS RTX 3070 LHR 8 GB TUF X2 OC graphics cards. Sadly both the RTX 3080 LHR and the RTX 3060 Ti LHR aren’t listed, although many expect them to be announced within a few days.
