Continental football both in Europe and South America is set to begin this weekend. With the Copa America and the European Championships both being two of the biggest tournaments with big names involved, let’s have a look at the European 11 Vs the South American 11.

Manuel Neuer walks into the lineup ahead of Thibaut Courtois, while Premier League TOTS defenders João Cancelo and POTY Ruben Dias make the right side of the backline. Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba of Chelsea and Bayern Munich/Real Madrid respectively make the other half of the defence.

European Golden Boot winner Robert Lewandowski, Serie A top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo and Ligue 1 top scorer Kylian Mbappe make a deadly from three for the European XI.

Liverpool’s Alisson Becker gets selected between the sticks, as Juventus skipper Juan Cuadrado, PSG skipper Marquinhos, Atletico Madrid’s Gimenez and Manchester United’s Alex Telles make up the backline.

They are shielded by the defensive midfield duo of Fabinho and Casemiro, both from Brazil. Lionel Messi operates in a number 10 role to complete the midfield trio. 

Luis Suarez, Neymar and Angel Di Maria make up the front three for the South American team.
