“Ray”: All the details about Netflix’s new Upcoming Anthology Thriller Series

Netflix has currently dropped the trailer of its upcoming original series Ray. It is an anthology series that will be contained with four gripping short stories which are inspired by the works of the popular filmmaker Satyajit Ray. The story of the series is based on ego, revenge, envy, and betrayal.

The trailer of the series starts with a voice-over expressing that mankind is no less than God due to giving birth and also for creating another human. We have seen a man named Ipsit Nair who has a computer memory. We will also see the Bollywood superstar of Harshvardhan who has encountered a God woman and also wondered at her popularity. In this, we will see The Family Man 2 start Manoj Bajpayee who is playing the role of Musafir Ali. He is a ghazal singer who is struggling to get back his lost fame. Kay Kay Menon has a stable job and despite his job, he wants to create art as a makeup artist.

This series depicts the incredible journey and also multiple impacts of the characters. The voice-over has ended with a warning that says that whenever a man starts to believe himself to be God then he must have a major downfall.

Title of the Episodes

The title of all four stories has been revealed. The name of the first story is Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa, the second one is Forget Me Not, the third one is Bahrupiya and the fourth one is Spotlight. It is expected that the audience will experience a thrilling ride.

In a statement director, Abhishek Chaubey has expressed his excitement about working with Manoj Bajpayee and Gajraj Rao. He has said that He is drawn to stories that twist with whimsy and humor. There are just a few people who can hardly do this well than Satyajit Ray and a chance to tell the story is a great opportunity for him. In the first story Manoj and Gajraj playing with each other on-screen. He hopes that audience will get that much of jot that they were enjoyed when it was made.

Bengali filmmaker Srijit Mukherji only have two shot on his credit in Forget me Not with Ali Fazal and Bahrupiya with Kay Kay Menon. He has said that Satyajit Ray has been a big inspiration in his life. After performing faithfully two stories of Ray in life in Feluda Pherot, it is just an honor and very satisfying to reinterpret another two stories of Ray of darker space. He also got the opportunity to work with such a brilliant cast included with Kay Kay Menon, Ali Fazal, and Shweta Basu Prasad along with the two stories. He is also very excited about the reactions of the viewers to those imperfect and somehow broken characters.

This series will be helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji, and Vasan Bala. It will be featuring Manoj Bajpayee, Ali Fazal, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon in the lead roles. There is also some more casts like Gajraj Rao, Shweta Basu Prasad, Anindita Bose, Bidita Bag, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Radhika Madan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor.
