Alessandro Florenzi to return to Roma as PSG target Achraf Hakimi

PSG have decided to not make Alessandro Florenzi a permanent member of the squad. The right-back will return to Roma, where he is on loan from. The decision was never in doubt, according to Fabrizio Romano. While Florenzi has done well in his time at the club, Paris have something else in mind when it comes to that position.

Florenzi made 21 appearances for the club as they finished second in the league, and provided a single assist and two goals throughout the 20/21 season of Ligue 1. Roma’s decision as to whether he will be kept or sold will be made once Jose Mourinho takes over the club.

Considering his huge wage, and the fact that Roma need a complete overhaul, the 30-year-old could be let go of permanently this summer. Of course, a suitable bid has to arrive for him to Roma to make the sale.

Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin was reportedly a target for the French club, with the Spaniard set to leave the Emirates this summer. However, over the last few hours, Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi has also emerged as a target for them. The Moroccan is on the market, and a price range around €60 million is what Inter are holding out.

Hakimi 1 Alessandro Florenzi to return to Roma as PSG target Achraf Hakimi

Although Hakimi joined the club only in 2020, he will have to be let go of if a suitable bid arrives. The reason behind it being Inter’s dire financial situation that requires the sale of players to raise funds to run the club.
